Cloudflare Outage Exposed How Dependent We Really Are
In this video, I talk about the recent Cloudflare outage and how it affected a huge part of the internet. From Webflow to Streamyard and even basic tools and documentation, many services went down or became unusable. I share my experience of trying to work and record during the outage, and how it highlighted just how dependent we’ve become on a small number of infrastructure providers like Cloudflare and AWS.

Cloudflare going down this morning. I literally I wanted to record a video. I couldn't even record a video because obviously a lot of the stuff I do I'm using claw code and I need internet access to whatever. Claw code was fine but like the documentation and stuff like that was down. Web flow websites were down. Uh Streamyard was down. We might not have been able to stream today if it wasn't for um them getting it back into gear. So infrastructure wise I think Google stock price went up because Cloudflare basically affiliated with AWS. I think it's pro maybe an AWS thing. We'll find out. I don't know. I don't know what happened, but why is this happening so often? Like this year, last year it wasn't like that. So, no, I I know it's not VI coding, but something is happening. Why is this happening so often? I really don't know. It's weird. And what's more scary is how lost we are, you know, when when it does go down. Yeah. Like when one company goes down, it's it's not even one company. Like when AWS the what was it like one server the uh the DNS configurator or whatever it was went down like half the internet was down and like everybody panicked and it was just one server. It's crazy how dependent we are. Yeah. This is part of a larger conversation on my show Command AI which we stream live every single week. We discuss the news and all things related to AI in the world of design and web.
