Build Your Own Software - It's CHEAP Now

Building software used to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars - that's why SaaS was born. But the tables have turned now - it's much simpler and much cheaper to build your own software exactly how you want it. No more compromising with SaaS that doesn't do exactly what you need or has terrible UX. We're in that middle period where you still need some engineering knowledge to vibe code effectively, but soon everyone will be building their own software. This is the future - big or small, build what you actually need without the massive costs. โ€” TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - Software Used to Cost $100k+ ๐Ÿ’ธ 0:37 - The SaaS Compromise Problem 0:57 - Build EXACTLY What You Want 1:16 - The Price Revolution 1:33 - Vibe Coding Reality Check โšก 1:56 - The Pricing Dilemma ๐Ÿค” 2:10 - What is "CMD + AI"? โ€” LINKS: ๐Ÿ“ท Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cmdaishow โ€” #SoftwareDevelopment #SaaS #TechTrends #VibeCoding #WebDevelopment #AI

Building software used to cost a a lot a lot of money, right? To build bespoke. That's why SAS was born to have some sort of internal computer infrastructure was like so costly. So AWS was like, well, we're just going to provide the infrastructure. We're going to distribute all over the world and you you won't have to store your infrastructure on premises. You can just store it in the cloud. Everywhere's good, you know. And it it kind of spawned from there and and SAS said look why build your own piece of software when you can just rent it from us for a low low price of 3.99 or whatever it is right so this is my proposition to say right the tables have turned now it's now much simpler much cheaper to build your own software like that the way that you want it because there was always a compromise with SAS there was always like well I like most of what it does it doesn't do exactly what I want it to do but it mostly gets there. And those are the conversations I'm having with my clients at the moment. It's like, you know, they they compromise on the software that they're having to use because it doesn't do exactly what they want or the UX is just terrible. Yeah. That that all being said, it's like now it's like, well, now you can just build the software as you want it. It doesn't cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars, which is what it used to cost. It it can cost far less than that. And sooner or later, you won't be asking people like me to build that software because you'll be building it yourself. You'll be prompting it. Right now, we're still in this middle period of like, well, you still need an engineering degree. We're going to get into some of that sort of stuff later on actually. You still need an engineering degree to be able to vibe code. You can't people are learning that you can't just vibe code things as it stands right now. But we totally will get there. So, that's my business. That's my proposition. you know just build your own software big or small problem comes of how you price that you know how do you price something that realistically took you a week to build truthfully probably less how do you price that and reasonable rate to say well yeah still it's still going to cost you a few grand because there's a lot of expertise that go into that but it didn't take me three months to do but anyway this is part of a larger conversation on my show command AI which we stream live every single week we discuss the news and all things related to AI in the world of design and web.
